a royal company

This post is written in Bandung, in a fancy hotel room, where I'll spend my days on this week.

Yes I'm on duty again. This time I join a task force to create training modules with several topics. When I arrived last Sunday, I thought "Wow this is one fancy and comfy hotel". The hotel room is big and completed with iron, hair dryer, sajadah, and big pillows. And once again, I realized that this company is very royal to its employees.  This company provides good accommodations and facilities for its employees. We fly with the best airlines in this country. We stay in a fancy hotel, four or five stars, wherever we're on duty. Even when we're in rural area, this company gives us the housing facilities, all furnitures are included. Well, I shall be very thankful and give my best shot in return.

That's the moment when my intention had changed, from working-semi-vacationing mode into fully-working-seriously mode. Eheheheh,,,,, So I was really happy today when my two modules had been reviewed by the seniors and I can move on to the presentation. Semoga hasil meeting kami di sini nanti bermanfaat yaaaa,,,, :))

An Adventuress

Adventuress (n) : a woman who enjoys or seeks adventure

I've never considered myself as an adventuress. I love being in an adventure but I love routinity the most. Until couple days ago. Well, it's not that I went to a jungle or an island in a middle of nowhere ya. I was just travelling around Jakarta with public transportation, hahahaha,,, For a spoiled-princess-wannabe-girl like me, it was such an adventure.

Started early in the morning, when I was arrived in Jakarta by train. The choices were detrained in Jatinegara Station or Gambir Station. If I chose Gambir, I couldn't imagine the traffic all the way from Gambir to Kalibata. Besides, based on my research on Google Map (yes, I asked everything to Mr. Google), Jatinegara is nearer to Kalibata than Gambir. Ignoring my brother's advice, not to detrain in a place that I'm not familiar with, I chose to stop and detrain in Jatinegara. Although I couldn't figure out the next step to reach Kalibata. And when it happens, you still have taxi to count on. There came a taxi for  rescue and it only took 20 minutes to Kalibata. I was so glad I decided to detrain in Jatinegara.

The second adventure on that day was travelling from Kalibata to Ancol, where I had an important meeting with NKOTBSB,,, :D I had to be there around 4 pm and taxi was a big no no. It would cost me a lot and there's a possibility of traffic jam. That's the challenge! There were 3 options of public transportation, taxi, busway and KRL (commuter train), the last two stop in Jakarta Kota, near Ancol. Here's the time when you should apply SWOT analysis, wkwkwkw,,,

KRL has the strongest strength because there's a KRL station (Duren Kalibata Station) near my place, only 10 minutes walking distance. KRL also has the biggest opportunity because it doesn't affected by traffic jam. The only threat is the city's black out, because KRL is powered by electricity. The weakness of it is the pickpocket in KRL, especially if they knew you're a newbie. So I went to the station, bought the ticket for Commline with AC. It costed me only Rp 6.000,- and only took about 30 minutes to Jakarta Kota Station. HA! Imagine the cost if I took taxi and the traffic jam if I took busway or taxi. This was my second best decision that day. From Jakarta Kota Station I took taxi to Ancol, the concert venue was faaaarrr inside the Ancol area, and it costed me around Rp 40.000,-. What about the pickpocket? I didn't meet them, thankfully, I just held my bag tight in front of my body all the way,,, :D KRL is actually a convenient public transportation, but maybe that's because I used it not in busy hours. Compare to MRT in Singapore, although it's not an apple to apple comparation, the only flaw I found was the lack of information inside the KRL about the stoppage. There were no signs or announcement about the station's name each time it stopped. When I arrived in Jakarta Kota Station, I had to ask the girl next to me, "Is it Jakarta Kota Station?". Hadn't I asked, I would stay inside KRL and went back to Kalibata,,, -.-"

My third adventure was going back home from Ancol, but this time I was accompanied by my partner in crime, Indah. From the beginning, we had no clue how to get out from Ancol area. But we chose to think about it later and enjoy the show. We had to catch the last busway on 11 pm, and it was 10.45 pm after the show. There's no taxi around the venue and it's impossible to walk until the busway station. Then Pak Ojek came to the rescue,,, :D They over charged us, Rp 20.000,- each, but considering that we didn't have other option, so we took it. The busway was only Rp 3.500,- each and took us to Dukuh Atas Station (near Sudirman). From Dukuh Atas we took taxi (again) to Setiabudi (Indah's place) and Kalibata. Total cost for taxi was Rp 45.000,-. It was 12 pm when I arrived in Kalibata.

So there were my adventures, and hell yeah I was having fun doing it. Especially the facts that I saved some money by not taking taxi and not stucked in a middle of traffic jam. Yaaay,,,, :))

a best friend

you know you've found a best friend when they're always there anytime you need them
i think i found one here,,, thankfully,,,
he never talked much
but each time i said i had a bad day today, he said "let's eat!"
and i'll tell him all my problems while we eat
he just listens
i just need to be listened

and that's why when last night i was prepared to stay at home and watching TV,
i cancelled it the minute he texted me "let's eat!"
i knew he had a bad day yesterday
and that his text message was a calling for a friend
he just needed to be listened

why did i consider him as a best friend instead of my other friends here?
we have different religion and cultural background
but i know i can trust him
and i can tell him everything, from work things to personal things, and life in general
he's never judged, but he always tells the truth, all the good or bad things
he'll tell me whenever i'm wrong or right, no hidden agenda
and i'll do the same

we've never mixed the friendship with work things
but we'll constantly remind each other
because we know each other's concerns
and we're coordinating very well

in this office, when you don't know anymore who you can trust or depend on,
a friend and colleague like this is very precious
thank's for being here bro,,,

miss you

it's been awhile
never thought that i'd miss you
hope you'd feel the same,,, :)
